Claude Integration

With the Claude integration, you connect StoryVault directly to your AI assistant. Claude can then access your sessions, transcripts, courses, and chats — in natural language, without opening the StoryVault interface.

What Is the Claude Integration?

The integration uses the Model Context Protocol (MCP) — an open standard that lets AI assistants connect to external systems. StoryVault provides read tools and Coding tools that Claude can use:

Course Details	Course structure with modules and lessons
Get Lesson	Lesson content with quiz questions
List Chats	AI chat conversations filtered by scope
Get Chat	Single chat with all messages
List Codes	Show a project codebook
Create/Update/Delete Code	Manage codebook entries with manager/admin permissions
List Coding Segments	Show coded transcript passages
Create/Delete Coding Segment	Code or remove a transcript passage

Important: Most tools are read-only. Coding write tools are available only when the Coding module is enabled and the authenticated user has the required permissions. Access is fully secured: each user sees only their own data. Admins see all data for their organization.

Where Does the Integration Work?

The Claude integration works with:

Claude Desktop on macOS and Windows
claude.ai in the browser
Claude Code and other MCP-compatible tools

Typical Use Cases

Session analysis without the browser: Ask Claude: “Show me the latest sessions from the QM Care project.” Claude lists the sessions with date, type, and status.

Cross-session analysis: “Summarize the most important decisions from our last three leadership rounds.” Claude reads the transcripts and delivers a summary based on the actual content.

Quick access to course content: “What lessons does the ‘Care Onboarding’ course have, and how is the quiz structured?” Claude shows the course structure with all modules and questions.

Preparation: “Are there open tasks in our recent team meeting notes that haven’t been completed?” Claude searches the relevant transcripts.
