Teams Import
The Teams import brings existing Teams recordings from Microsoft 365 into StoryVault — including the Teams transcript with speaker attribution. Unlike the Meeting Bot, which joins a meeting live, the Teams import works after the fact: it finds your organization’s cloud recordings and imports them on demand or automatically.
How it works
Section titled “How it works”-
Open Teams Import
Sidebar → Admin → Teams Import (visible to admins only).
-
Configure once
Choose whose meetings are covered (specific organizers or all active ones), the target project for imports, and who receives the completion notification.
-
Synchronize
Sync now searches for new recordings from the past weeks. After that, the list keeps itself up to date — daily, and additionally whenever Microsoft reports new recordings.
-
Select recordings and import
The candidate list shows discovered recordings with date and duration. Select the entries you want and start the import — or enable auto-import so new recordings are picked up on their own.
-
Done
Each imported recording becomes a session with playable video. An existing Teams transcript is adopted directly — the session is searchable right away, with no re-transcription. After an import run finishes, the configured person receives an email.
What the import covers
Section titled “What the import covers”The import covers scheduled online meetings of the selected organizers. Not included:
- meetings in Teams channels (including private channels)
- ad-hoc calls without a calendar entry
- recordings that only remain in OneDrive/SharePoint
For those cases, use the file upload or the Meeting Bot.
