Session Chat
The session chat is your analysis assistant for a single meeting. The AI has the complete transcript as context — your questions are not answered in general terms, but based on what was actually said.
How It Works
Section titled “How It Works”-
Open a session
Navigate to a session with a completed transcription. Sidebar → Sessions, then click on the desired session.

Open the AI Chat tab
Below the transcript, you’ll find the “AI Chat” tab.

Ask a question
Type your question in the input field and send it. The answer appears within a few seconds.

Ask follow-up questions
The AI remembers the entire conversation history. Ask as many questions as you like. Every answer refers to the transcript and the previous chat.
Using Analysis Templates
Section titled “Using Analysis Templates”Above the input field, you’ll see predefined buttons — for example, “Summary”, “Tasks”, or “Decisions”. One click automatically starts the appropriate analysis. You don’t have to formulate the question yourself.
Which templates are available depends on the session type (Meeting, Interview, Workshop, etc.) and what your administration has set up. Learn more at Analysis Templates.
Automatic Summary
Section titled “Automatic Summary”Independently of the chat, StoryVault creates an automatic summary after each transcription. You’ll find it directly on the session page — expandable above the transcript. You don’t need to open the chat for this.
Practical Examples
Section titled “Practical Examples”Typical questions you can ask:

| ”What decisions were made?” | Overview of all decisions reached in the conversation |

| ”What was said about staffing?” | All statements about a specific topic |
Further scenarios:
- Youth Services Case Conference: “What measures were agreed for the case?” — The AI provides the specific agreements from the conversation.
- Disability Support Supervision: “What reflective questions did the supervisor ask?” — The AI identifies the key questions.
- Care Team Meeting: “Are there open items from the last session that came up today?” — The AI searches the transcript for references.
Good to Know
Section titled “Good to Know”- Your data only: The AI works exclusively with the transcript of this session. It doesn’t invent content.
- Conversation history: All questions and answers are preserved. You can scroll back at any time.
- Share links: When you share a session via link and activate AI chat, the recipient can ask their own questions — without a StoryVault account.
- AI model: The session chat uses a powerful language model designed for complex analyses.
