AI Features: Overview
StoryVault turns your transcripts into more than just text to read. The AI features help you analyze content, recognize patterns, and analyze documents — without having to read through minutes for hours yourself.
Three Chat Types for Different Tasks

Automatic Summary
Section titled “Automatic Summary”After every completed transcription, StoryVault automatically creates an AI-generated summary — without any action on your part. The summary appears directly on the session page.
Analysis Templates
Section titled “Analysis Templates”Your administration can set up predefined analysis templates — for example, “Tasks”, “Decisions”, or “Risks”. These appear as buttons in the session chat. One click starts the analysis automatically. Learn more at Analysis Templates.
How the AI Works in the Background
Section titled “How the AI Works in the Background”The AI works exclusively with the content you give it as context. In session chat, that’s the complete transcript. In project chat, it’s the summaries of all sessions. The AI doesn’t invent content that isn’t in your data.
Some technical details worth knowing:
- Conversation history: The AI remembers the previous chat history. You can ask follow-up questions.
- Budget protection: Before every AI call, StoryVault checks the configured monthly budget. This keeps costs under control.
- Long conversations: For very long chat histories, StoryVault automatically trims older messages so the AI always works with the most current content.

Open a session with a completed transcript
Navigate to a completed session.

Click the AI Chat tab
Below the transcript, you’ll find the “AI Chat” tab.

Ask a question or click a template
Type a question or use one of the predefined analysis templates.
Typical Use Cases in Social Services
